WHO AM I?

Helen Percival, I've been creating web pages for eight years and love every minute of it.

I remember sitting at home experimenting with creating websites, maybe 15 years ago, when web pages were coded using table layouts and facebook and twitter were a thing of the future. Although my earliest efforts were successful, with more expertise I knew they could be better. In order to realise my ambition, I decided to take a part-time job and go back to college. So, I went to Central St. Martin's and completed an Art and Design course and also obtained a web development certification. I haven't looked back since! I've enjoyed a decade of doing something I really love, creating websites and digital touchpoints in English and other languages for large corporations.

Recently, talking to my friend Bob from the tennis club who runs his own small business, it became apparent that he didn't have a website and that lots of other small business-owners don't either. Bob's reasons for not having a website were lack of time, not understanding how it could benefit his business and thinking the process would be too difficult and expensive. This made me realise that I had something I could offer people in his situation.

So I decided to say goodbye to corporate life and offer my skills as a Website developer creating simple, responsive, cost-effective websites for people running small businesses. This website is an example of a clean, flat design which uses a minimalistic approach and includes an outline of who I am, what I do, why you should choose me, some examples of my work and how to contact me.
