Towards the end of last year I decided to try designing and block printing my own fabric. I carve the block from lino, ink up the lino and then hand press the block repeatedly onto calico to create the design. I also experiemented with dyeing and shibori folding techniques. It became a little bit of an obsession and I ended up with a lot of printed fabric which I then made into cushions, some of which are shown here.
